Courtyard of Palais Épiscopal of Beauvais. Bishop Louis de Villiers de L’Isle-Adam served between 1497-1521 and built the Palais seen above between 1500-1506. Bishop Henri de France served between 1149-1161, when the original Palais Episcopal is thought to have been built. The Saint Pierre wing to the left was built using oak timber framing dating from 1309-1310. The whole is now a Museum converted between 1974-1981.

1970-1979 The Great Organ (West facade) by the Danion-Gonzalez Company. Oak case. 5,500 pipes, 38 ft. tallest pipe, 77 stops.

1665-1670 Pulpit – donated by the Abbaye Saint-Lucien and installed in 1805 after the original was destroyed during the French Revolution. Looking east – Transepts and Crossing, Choir, Altar and Apse.

950 Notre-Dame de la Basse-Œuvre Church. (left foreground) 1225-1548 Cathédrale Saint-Pierre de Beauvais. West Elevation. (above) 1569 Tower (502 ft.) completed. 1573 Tower collapsed. 1600 first bay of Nave completed and construction of the cathedral was halted and has not recommenced.
